<br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing /tuthority~ t]as
<br />made application to vacate and close and disContinue the here~er
<br />described street; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted November 13, 1979,
<br />viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia,
<br />1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described portion of said
<br />street and to report in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if
<br />any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing the below-describe~
<br />street; and
<br />
<br /> ?~IEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that .in their opip/on,
<br />no inconvenience wou~d reshlt from the closing and discontinuing 'of said
<br />street.

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of.Ports-
<br />mouth, Virginia, that the following described street be closed and
<br />vacated as a public s~reet.
<br />
<br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land
<br />situate, lying end being in the City of Ports-
<br />Iaouth, Virginia, known and designated as an
<br />Unnamed Lane on that certain plat entitled,
<br />"Plat Showing Survey Of 15 Foot Lane To Be
<br />Closed, Portsmouth, Virginia"; dated July. 13,
<br />1979, p~-~pered by Robert T. Addison And Assoc-
<br />iates, Ltd., Surveying-Engineering, Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, a copy of which is attached hereto.

<br /> RE IT FURSI{ER ORDkINED that the same hereby is closed and .vacated as
<br />a public street and that the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, reserves u~to
<br />itself a perpetual easement, right, and privilege to install, raaintain,
<br />operate and replace gas mains, sewer ~ains, sewer drains, sanitary s~ers,
<br />storm drains, water mains and laterals, electric power lines and telephone
<br />lines within, over, under or acn0oss the hereinabove~-described property.
<br />
<br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsnouth, Virginia, at a
<br />meeting held December 11, 1979.
