AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREET~ <br />OF FIFTH STREET. <br /> <br />A PORTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Industrial Development Authority of <br />the City of Portsmouth has made application to vacate and <br />close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of <br />Fifth Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a Resolution of %his Council adopted <br />July 24, 1979, viewers were appointed pursuant to <br />Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended~ <br />to view the hereinafter described portion of said street <br />and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, <br />and if any, what inconvenience would result from discon- <br />tinuing the below described street; and <br /> <br />'.. that <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br />in their! opinion no..inconve~nce ~oul~l ras~2ut fr_onl <br /> <br />-'-' NOW, THEREFORE} BE IT ORDAINE~'-by <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described <br />portion of Fifth Street be closed and vacated as a public <br />street. <br /> <br /> All that portion of Fifth Street <br />situate and lying between the north <br />right-of-way line of Harrison Street and <br />the southern right-of-way line of the <br />Seaboard Coast Line Railroad.
