ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT Z-79-8(1) <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> (1) That that portion of the Zoning Map attached to <br />and made a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, which now zones as Residential R-75, the <br />property described in Petition Zoning Amendment No. Z-79-8(I), <br />is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property- <br />zoned as R-75, and Chat said property is hereby zoned as <br />R-75-S. <br /> <br /> The property affected by this ordinance is described <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the centerline of Glasgow <br /> Street and Vermont Avenue; thence north along <br /> the centerline of Vermont A~enue to the center- <br /> line of North Street; thence east along the <br /> centerline of North Street to the centerline <br /> of Douglas Avenue; thence north along the <br /> centerline of Douglas Avenue to the center- <br /> line of Portland Street; thence east along <br /> the centerline of Portland Street to the <br /> centerline of an alley between Mt. Vernon <br /> Avenue and Broad Street; thence south 25'; <br /> thence west 50'; thence south 250'; thence <br /> east 20'; thence southwest t00'; thence <br /> southeast 250'; thence south 40'; thence <br /> west 40'; thence southwes~ 50'; thence <br /> west 50'; thence south approximately 300' <br /> to the centerline of London Boulevard; thence <br /> west along said centerline to the center!ine <br /> of Glasgow Street and; -thence to the center- <br /> line of Vermont Avenue, the Point of Origin. <br /> <br /> (2) That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and <br />after thirty (30) days from the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held June 26, 1979. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
