NORMAL RETIREMENT DATE. The term "normal retirement date" <br />shall be taken to mean the first of the next month following or <br />coinciding with the sixty-fifth (65th) birthday of a member. <br /> <br /> RETIREMENT ALLOWANCE. The term "retirement allowance" <br />shall be taken to mean the retirement payments to which a member <br />is entitled as provided in this article. <br /> <br /> SERVICE. The term "service" shall be taken to mean service <br />as an employee for which compensation is paid by the employee. <br /> <br /> SYSTEM.
