AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY ~ENDING SECTIONS 9-53 AND 9-82 THEREOF <br />SO AS TO CHANGE THE CENTRAL ABSENTEE VOTER ELECTION PRECINCT <br />AND THE VOTING PLACE FOR PRECINCT NO. 18. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Sections 9-53 and 9-82 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and reordained to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 9-53. Precinct for absentee voters. <br /> <br /> The City Hall Building, 801 Crawford Street, shall be <br />established as the central absentee voter election precinct <br />for the City of Portsmouth for the purpose of receiving, <br />counting and reading absentee voter ballots. <br /> <br />Section 9-82. Precinct No. 18. <br /> <br /> The voting place for Precinct No. 18 shall be the <br />Nazarene Church Annex at 4009 Deep Creek Boulevard. <br /> <br /> 2. This ordinance shall take effect from the date <br />of its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held August 26, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
