for such amusement the following license taX: Fifty dollars ($50.00), <br />and in addition thereto, thirty cents [$0.30~ per one hundred dollars <br />($100.00) of %he gross receipts therefrom exclusive of any federal <br />and city tax thereon. ~ <br /> d. Any person other than the operator of such a~usement <br />park, who shall operate any amusement within said park, for which <br />tickets are not sold, such as recording the voice, guessing one's <br />weight or age, testing one's strength, and the like, shall pay a <br />license tax of fifty dollars ~$50.00). <br /> e. The license tax provided in this section shall not be <br />proratable and the license for the operation of any such park shall <br />not be contributed to authorize the operation within such park of any <br />hotel, dance hall, motion picture theater, theater, restaurant, store, <br />booth or stall that is operated on the principle of giving prizes <br />when one may-for a fee throw darts, toss ringsr fish for nu3~bers, <br />etc., as a method to determine the type of prize to be received by <br />the player. Nor shall the license tax provided in this section be <br />construed to authorize %he sale of beer, wine or tobacco, or any <br />other business or occupation for which a specific license is required <br />by this chapter. <br /> <br /> Section 20-60. Baseball alleys, shooting and archery galleries and <br /> similar amusements. <br /> Every person engaged in the business of operating a baseball <br /> alley, shooting or archery gallery or slmilaramusement not otherwise <br /> taxed in this chapter, shall pay a license tax of one hundred twenty- <br /> five dollars f$125.00) per year. Such license shall not be proratable. <br /> Section 20-61. Building and Loan Associations or Companies. <br /> a. Each building-and loan association lending money on real <br /> estate security, or on stock in an amount not to exceed the su~ actually <br /> paid in at the time of the loan, shall pay a license tax of fifty <br /> dollars ($50.00). <br /> b. All building and loan associations, other ~han those <br /> provided for in subsection (a) of this section, shall pay a <br /> license tax of one hundred eighty dollars ($180.00). <br /> c. Remedial loan banks operating under the Unifor~ Small Loan <br /> Law, shall pay a license tax of three hundred sixty dollars ($360.00). <br /> Section 20-62. Billiard, Pool or Bagatelle Tables or Shuffleboards. <br /> Every person operating a billiard or poolroom open to the public, <br /> which shall employ the use of billiard, pool or bagatelle tables, or <br /> any other tables on which games may be played requiring %he use of cues <br /> and balls or which shall have a shuffleboard or shuffleboards not <br /> operated on a coin-in-the~slot principle, or any place other than a <br /> billiard or poolroom which has on its premises one or more of the above, <br /> shall pay a license tax of (a) forty-five dollars $45.00) on the first <br /> such billiard, pool or bagatelle table and twenty--five dollars ($25.00) <br /> on each additional such table and ~b) thirty dollars ($30.00) on the first <br /> <br /> <br />
