Section 6-13.3. <br /> <br />Re.~uirements for conducting building or <br />construction business; revocation of license, <br />etc. <br /> <br /> (a) Ail regulations found in Section 6-13 as it applies <br />to conducting plumbing business shall apply to conducting <br />building or construction business with the proper substitution <br />of the terms building or constrnction work, building contractor <br />and senior building inspector in all. instances where.those <br />terms would apply. ' ~ <br /> <br /> 10. That Section 6-15 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, !973,~as amended, be amended and reordained as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 6-15. Reciprocity with other cities. <br /> <br /> ~ . Any person, firm or~ corporation having an established ptace~ <br /> of i~iusi~iass in any. other City, ' town ~or~ county 'in the CoImnonwealth <br /> of Virgi~hia, and payin~ a business license tax therein, and ~, <br /> holding a current certificate as a LeVel Two Plumbing Worker~ ~ <br /> Level Two Mechanical Worker, Level Two Electrical Worker or as <br /> building contracto~r issued by the proper authority may be <br />~ ~eligible to perfo~'~ wOrE in this City without' certificate of <br /> qualification; provided, the same privilege is extended by <br /> ~such city, town or county .to any person, firm or corporation <br /> properly establishe~d and licensed in the City of Portsmouth, <br /> ~rovided further ~ha~ ~ch offer of ricipro~ity is acceptable <br /> ~to this City. Any suc~ person, firm or corporation shall post <br /> a proper bond and shall comply with all rules and regulations <br /> set forth in the Code or any other applicable ordinance. ~- ~.. <br /> <br /> 11~. Tha.t Section 6-17 of the Code of~ the City of Ports- <br /> mouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended and repealed and reordained <br /> as follows: <br /> <br /> ~r~ of Examiners, Examinatibn <br /> <br /> ~(a) BOARD OF EXAMINERS: There shall be ~eparate <br /> B6ard of Examiners for .each division of ~this department as ~re- '~ <br /> scribed in the Code, which shall be known as the Board of Elec- <br /> ~trical 'Examiners, the Board of Plumbing Examiners, and the Board <br /> -~of .Mechanical Ex~miners, respectively. The members of each <br /> Board shall be appointed by the City Council, shall serve with- <br /> out ~compensation, and shall consist of five individuals, each <br /> of whom shall serve for a term of two (2) years, and no Board <br /> member may serve more than three ~erms. A member of any of these <br /> Boards shall ~hold office after the expmration of his term until <br /> his successor has been appointed and duly qualified. Each Board <br /> shall elect from ils membership a chairman and a vice chairman <br /> whose term of office shall be for one [1) year~ Each Board <br /> shall make rules and regulations for its procedure.
