violation of this and all other regulations or ordinances by <br />Level One Plumbing Workers, laborers, helpers, or any other <br />person employed by him. <br /> <br /> (g) Employing plumbers without proper license and <br />certificate. It shall be unlawful for any agent, owner, tenant <br />or any other person to employ any other person without the proper <br />license and certificate to do any plumbing work in or about any <br />building or premises in this City, except that an owner may <br />perform plumbing on his place of residence if the senior plumbing <br />inspector is satisfied that said owner possesses the basic <br />knowledge and ability to perform said plumbing; and no person <br />other than a registered plumber or an official of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, designated by the building official shall <br />ibe allowed to make any connection, except under the direction <br />of a registered plumber or a Level Two Plumbing Worker who is <br />properly registered. In case of an emergency, the Senior plumbing <br />inspector is hereby authorized to suspend the provisions of this <br />section until such time as the emergency ceases to existJ . <br /> <br /> (h) Allowing ones name, license or bond to be used to <br /> obtain permit fraudulently. ~o person, firm or co. rporation <br /> engaged in the business of pltnnbing shall allow~ his, its . <br /> or their names to be used by any other person, firm or ~ -~ <br /> corporation, directly or indirectly to'obtain a permit, or <br /> for the construction under 'his, its 0r~heir names, license <br /> or bond; nor shall he, it or they make any misrepresentations <br /> or omissions in his, its or their returns. <br /> <br /> (i) Board of plumbing code appeals ~ see Section <br /> of the Basic Building Code~ <br /> <br /> Section 6-13.1. ~ Requirements for conducting mechanical business; <br /> r~vocatio~ of license,' etc. <br /> (a) All regulations found in Section 6-13 a.s it applies <br /> to conducting'piumbingbu~siness shall apply to conducting ~ <br /> mechanical business with the proper s~bstitution ~of the · <br /> <br /> terms mechanical business or mechanical work, mechanical <br /> worker and senior mechanical inspector in all instances ~ <br /> where those terms would apply. The mechanical business <br /> shall include house piping. · <br /> <br /> Section 6-13.2.'
