any such vehicle falls pursuant to Section 23-474, the combina~ <br />of vehicles of which such vekicle constitutes a part shall be <br />considered a unit, and the aggregate gross weight of the entire <br />combination shall determine such gross weight group. The tax for <br />a trailer or semi-trailer constituting a par~ of such combination <br />shall be seventeen dollars ($17.00). Provided, however, if such <br />trailer or semi-trailer exceeds a gross weight of four thousand <br />(4,000) pounds such 5ax shall be twenty-two dollars ($22.00). <br /> <br />(b) In determining the fee to be paid for license plates or <br />decals for a truck or tractor truck constituting a part of such <br />.combination the tax shall be assessed on the total gross weight <br />and the tax per thousand (1,000) pounds applicable to the gross <br />weight of the combination when loaded to the maximum capacity <br />for which it is registered and licensed. However, there shall be <br />no deduction from this tax for the tax on the trailer or semi- <br />trailer in the combination. <br /> <br />4.
