AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY ADDING TO CHAPTER 33 THEREOF, SECTION <br />33-21.1 PERTAINING TO RELOCATION OR ALTERATION OF BOUNDARY <br />LINES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virgihia: <br /> <br /> I. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />t973, be amended by adding to Chapter 33 thereof, Section <br />33-21.1 to read as follows: ~ <br /> <br />Section 33-21.1. <br /> <br />Alteration or relocation of boundary <br />lines. <br /> <br /> The boundary lines of any lot or parcel of land may be <br />relocated or otherwise altered as part of an otherwise valid <br />and properly recorded plat of subdivision or resubdivision; <br />provided, however, such relocatio~ or alteration of boundary <br />lines shall not involve the relocation or alteration of <br />streets, alleys, easements for public passage, or other <br />public areas; and provided further, that no easement or <br />utility rights-of-way shall be relocated or altered without <br />the express consent of all persons holding any interest <br />therein. <br /> <br /> A plat of subdivision or resubdivision showing the <br />proposed r~location or alteration shall be submitted in <br />accordance with the requirements of Section 33-3 of this <br />Chapter to the Planning Director for approval.
