AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF HILL AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Port Authority has made application <br />to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinaft~described <br />portion of Hill Avenue; knd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted September <br />13, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described <br />portion of said street, and to report in wrlti~g whether in <br />their opinion any, and if any, what inconveni~n~e ?ou!d result <br />from discontinuing the said street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing <br />and discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described <br />.portion of H~i1 Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />HiLL AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Hill Avenue, <br />now located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />having a width of 60', beginning at the northern <br />right-of-way of Seaboard Avenue and running south <br />an approxiraate distance 'of 1,305' to the northern <br />right-of-way of Wesley Street (formerly Second <br />Street) said portion of Hill Avenue being shown <br />on the plat of Pinners Point Waterfront Company, <br />recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit <br />Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in <br />Map Book 4, page 32, and ~he plat of Pinners Point <br />Land Company recorded in the Clerk's Office of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, <br />in Map Book 4, page 7. (S-83-8) <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />hereby reserves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and pri- <br />vileges to install, operate, maintain and replace sewer mains, <br />sewer drains, sanitary sewers, st¢.r~ drains, water mains and <br />laterals, electric power lines, telephone lines, and. gas lines <br />within, over, under and across that portion of the hereinabove- <br />named Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
