AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF HILL AVENUE. WHEREAS, Virginia Port Authority has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinaft~described portion of Hill Avenue; knd WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted September 13, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, Code of Virginia, as amended, to view the hereinafter-described portion of said street, and to report in wrlti~g whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconveni~n~e ?ou!d result from discontinuing the said street; and WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described .portion of H~i1 Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. HiLL AVENUE Ail that certain portion of Hill Avenue, now located in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, having a width of 60', beginning at the northern right-of-way of Seaboard Avenue and running south an approxiraate distance 'of 1,305' to the northern right-of-way of Wesley Street (formerly Second Street) said portion of Hill Avenue being shown on the plat of Pinners Point Waterfront Company, recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 4, page 32, and ~he plat of Pinners Point Land Company recorded in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, in Map Book 4, page 7. (S-83-8) BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, hereby reserves unto itself perpetual easements, rights and pri- vileges to install, operate, maintain and replace sewer mains, sewer drains, sanitary sewers, st¢.r~ drains, water mains and laterals, electric power lines, telephone lines, and. gas lines within, over, under and across that portion of the hereinabove- named Street.
