AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF RANDOLPH STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority has <br />made application to vacate and close the hereinafter described <br />portion of Randolph Street; and - <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a resolution adopted by this Council on September <br />13, 1983, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter <br />described portion of said street and to report.in writing whether <br />in their opinion any, and if any what, inconvenience would result <br />from discontinuing the said portion of Randolph Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said viewers have reported in writing that in their <br />opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and <br />discontinuing of said street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE tT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter described portion <br />of Rando Street be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />Randolph Street <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land lying <br />and being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, comprising <br />that portion of Randolph Street which is bounded on the <br />west by the eastern right-of-way line of Effingham Street <br />and on the east by the western right-of-way line of <br />Green Street. CS-83-11) <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Portsmouth reserves <br />unto itself perpetual easements, rights and privileges to <br />install, operate and maintain gas mains, sewer mains, sewer drains, <br />sanitary sewers, storm drains, water mains and laterals, electric <br />power lines over, under and across the hereinabove described <br />property. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held November 22, 1983. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
