nuisance, the City of Portsmouth may provide for abatement <br />of the same as provided in Chapter 39 of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth. In addition, the owner of such lot ma~ <br />be charged with violation of this section. Conviction of <br />violation of this section shall be punished as~.~Class I <br />Misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Section 40-125. Violations of provisions of this Article, <br /> corrections required. <br /> <br /> Upon determination that any property, including buildings <br /> or other structures within the district, are~i~ violation of <br /> the requirements of this Article, the Building-Official shall <br /> notify the owner of such property of the violation by written <br /> notice stating therein the reasons for such violation. Such <br /> written notice shall be delivered to the owner by certified <br /> mail with return receipt; the Building Official shall, at the <br /> s~e time, notify the Secretary of the Committee of such <br /> violat±on. Within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt <br /> of such notice, the owner of the property shall make application <br /> to the Committee as provided in this Article for issuance of <br />-a Certificate of Intent and a Certificate of Compliance to <br /> correct such violations. Approval of such proposall plans <br /> and specifications for correction of the violation shall be <br /> obtained by the owner as provided for other construction or <br /> rehabilitation of property within the district as set forth <br /> in this Article, including such reviews as may be necessary <br /> for the issuance of a Certificate of Inten~ and Certificate <br /> of Complaince and building permits. Except under special <br /> circumstances, such as weather conditions and nonavailability <br /> o~ materials or labor, all such repairs, corrections, or. <br /> renovations necessary to correct such violation shall be <br /> completed not later than one hundred twenty (120) days after <br /> the date of receipt of notice of the violation. <br /> <br />Sections 40-126, 40-127, 40-128.
