(a) Coastal High Hazard District - Zone V7 This <br />district is a special flood hazard area subject to a one <br />percent or greater chance of flooding in any given year and <br />is also subject to an additional hazard of ~igh'vel~city <br />waters, including but not limited to hurricane wave wash. <br /> <br /> (b) Special Flood Hazard District - Zone A-4 and A7 <br />This district is a special flood hazard area subject to one <br />percent or greater chance of flooding in any given year. <br /> <br />Section 12-1/2-4. Uses in flood hazard districts. <br /> <br /> (a) The following uses having a low flood-damage <br />potential and not obstructing flood flows shall be permitted <br />within Zone A4 and Zone A7 to the extent that they are not <br />prohibited by any other ordinance. But no use shall adversely <br />affect the capacity of the channels of floodways of any <br />tributary to the main stream, drainage ditch, or any other <br />drainage facility or system. <br /> <br /> (1) Agricultural uses, such as general farming <br />pasture grazing, outdoor plant nurseries, horticulture, <br />vitculture, truck farming, forestry, sod far~ing and wild <br />crop harvesting. <br /> <br /> (2) Recreational facilities, both private and <br />public, such as golf courses, tennis courts, hunting and <br />fishing areas, boat ramps, swimming areas, and similar <br />facilities. <br /> <br /> (3) Industrial-commercial uses such as loading <br />areas, parking areas, airport landing strips, water control <br />structures, and navigation facilities. <br /> <br /> (4) Residential structures, whether new or substantial <br />improvements, the lowest floors of which Cincluding any basement <br />floor) are elevated 8-1/2', 9' and 10' NGVD. Non-residential <br />structures, whether new or substantial improvements, the lowest <br />floors are elevated 8-1/2', 9' and 10' NGVD. <br /> <br /> (b) In addition to (a)(1), (a) (2) and Ca) (3) above, <br />residential structures and non-residential structures whether new <br />or substantial improvements shall be permitted within Zone V7 <br />provided that they are elevated on adequately anchored pilings <br />or col~ns and securely anchored so that the lowest portion of <br />the structural members of the lowest floor is elevated to <br />11' or 12' NGVD to adequately withstand velocity waters and <br />hurricane wave wash. A registered professional engineer or <br />architect must certify that the above requirements has been <br />met. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
