shall, in writing, report to the Com~ission of Architectural <br />Review at each regular meeting on all certificates so issued. <br /> <br /> The Secretary of the Commission of Architectural Review <br />may approve the'following items (when colors, materials, types <br />and designs conform with those defined by the Co~.~ission of <br />Architectural Review): <br /> <br />Co) Exterior doors; <br /> <br />(c) Windows; <br /> <br />(d) Fences; <br /> <br />(e) Storm windows and doors; <br /> <br />(f) Vinyl or aluminum siding; <br /> <br /> (g) Roof shingles or roof covering materials provided <br />that there is no change in the design or contour of the roof; <br /> <br />Shutters. <br /> <br /> Ail exterior work not falling within the above criteria, <br />or using otker than approved materials, must be approved by <br />the Commission of Architectural Review. <br /> <br /> (10~ Conversions in Port Norfolk Historic District under <br />Historic Residential HR Zoning: It is the purpose and intent <br />of this provision to encourage a more efficient use of the area's <br />existing stock of large s!ng!e-famity dwellings, to provide <br />economic support for resident fs~ilies of limited income, and <br />to protect and preserve property values while preserving the <br />unique architecture of these structures. <br /> <br /> To promote the objectives of this section and of the <br />Comprehensive Plan and the Zoning Chapter of the City Code, the <br />following specific standards are set forth for conversions. <br /> <br /> (al Location on the lot: A conversion may be in the <br />principal dwelling structure, provided such structure existed <br />prior to April 26, 1983, and conforms with the other require- <br />ments of this section. <br /> <br /> (b) Exterior alterations: A conversion must be constructed <br />within the existing dwelling structure without an exterior add- <br />ition except as specified herein. All entrances to accessory <br />units must be located in the rear or along side of dwelling <br />structures and be designed in a compatible manner to minimize <br /> <br /> <br />
