visual impact of the structure, and to the degree reasonably <br />feasible, the appearance of the building shall be maintained <br />as single-family dwelling. <br /> <br /> (c) Floor area requirement: The minimum fl6or area of <br />each dwelling unit within a pricipal dwelling structure shall <br />be six hundred (600) square feet. <br /> <br /> (d) Number of conversion apartments per lot: The number <br />of permitted conversion dwelling units shall be regulated as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Number of Converted <br /> Apartment Units <br /> <br />Lot Size <br /> <br />1 5,700 11,199 sq. ft. <br />2 11,200 and over sq. ft. <br /> <br />Under no circumstances are more than two (2) converted units to <br />be permitted within one (1) existing dwelling unit. <br /> <br /> ~} Water and sewer service: Prior to the issuance of a <br />building permit for the establishment of a conversion dwelling <br />unit in a pr!ncipal dwelling, approval of the disposal shall be <br />obtained from the Building Official's Office. Wherever determined <br />reasonably feasible, separate utility meters shall be required. <br /> <br /> (f) Off-Street parking: (!) On-Site parking space shall <br />be provided per conversion dwelling unit in the rear of lot with <br />access from alley. If no alley exist, the space(s) shall be <br />arranged, on-site, in a manner to have minimum visual impact on <br />the neighborhood. The provision of said space(s) shall be a <br />condition for the issuance of an occupancy oermit. <br /> <br /> (gl Upon adoption of this conversion section, an inventory <br />of ali structures shall be'made to identify all illegal conver- <br />sions. Property owners found to have illegal unit(s) shall be <br />given twelve (12) months to either render dwelling unit(s) into <br />compliance with the conversion provisions of this section or <br />eliminate same. All conversions in place on April 26, 1983, and <br />encompassed within the R-60 regulations shall be considered con- <br />forming. <br /> <br /> (11) Minimum required floor area for a dwelling unit <br />exclusive of garages and patios applicable to the Olde Towne, <br />Truxtun and Port Norfolk Historic Districts: Six hundred (600) <br />square feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
