(C) Supervision of the maintenance, heating, lighting <br />and janitorial services for all city-owned structures, <br />except when othe~¢ise directed by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> (d) Such other powers and duties as may be assigned to <br />the Department of General Services by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 2-210 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, as amended, be amended and re- <br />ordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-210. Powers and Duties. <br /> <br /> Subject to the supervision and control of the City <br />Manager, and subject to the provisions of this Code and <br />other ordinances of the City, the Director of Public Works <br />shall be charged with the following: <br /> <br /> (a) General management and control of the several <br />bureaus, divisions and other units of the Department of <br />Public Works; <br /> <br /> (b) Supervision of the collection and disposition <br />of trash and garbage by the City; <br /> <br /> (c) Supe~vision of the maintenance and repair of <br />City streets and sewers; <br /> <br /> Cd) Report all encroachments and nuisances ~and main- <br />tain all necessary records and documents relative-to the <br />general management and control of the several bureaus, <br />divisions and other units of the Department of Public Works; <br /> <br /> (e) Such other powers and duties as may be assigned <br />to the Department of Public Works by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> 3.
