WHEREAS, Gladys Virginia Hall owns certain real estate located at <br /> <br />the corner of Second and Harrison Streets in the City of Portsmouth, <br /> <br />which is subject to the statutory lien with respect to old age assist- <br /> <br />ance and hospitalization expenses advanced to the said Gladys Virginia <br /> <br />Hall; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Gladys Virginia Hall desires to convey the aforesaid pro- <br /> <br />perty to ABHILL Corporation for the sum of $600.00, free of said lien, <br /> <br />and two appraisers hawe valued the said property at $500.00 and $525.00; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed sale has been approved by the local board of <br /> <br />Welfare, and requires the further approval of this Council and the State <br /> <br />Board of Public Welfare. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br /> <br />mouth, Virginia, that the aforesaid sale is approved by this CounciI, pro- <br /> <br />vided the proceeds thereof are applied first to payment of real estate <br /> <br />taxes and then in satisfaction of the aforesaid lien. <br /> <br /> Adopted at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth <br /> <br />on February 28, 1980. <br /> <br /> _________________________________ <br />Teste: City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
