A RESOITJTION GRBJlI~iNG A USE PE~IT FOR THE OPERATION OF AN AD~fOMOTIVE SER~rICE STATION AT T~rIE COihX~LR OF HIGH STR_~WT, ~ST, ALvD TYRE NECK ROAD, UP-68-25. WHEREAS, the American Oil Comparkv ?ms made an application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning OrdiD~nce of the City of Ports~muth, 1961, for the ~anting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WH~2e~EAS, the applicant, the PlarmingDirector and the City ~L~n~ger have done all thipgs required to be done in co~nnection with said application, and the Plar~ni~ C~ission has reco~aended the granting of said use per~t~ subj eot to the conditions hereinafter stated, NOW~ ~RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: That the use for which the use perm~it hereinafter described is sought (1) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residirg or work- fang in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) ~11 not be detr~nental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord ~th the purposes of said Zo~_ing Or_din~ace. ~nat the ~meric~nOil Cm.npany is hereby ~_nted a use permit, pumsuant to Section 4-2 of said Zonir~ Or~ance~ for the purpose of constructip~ smd operati~ sm addition to an existir~ and operati~ng automotive se~¢ice sts/cion located on the property described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Hi~a Street, West ~nd Tyre Neck Road; thence south along the west right-of-~y 1Zne of ~e Neck Road 150 feet~ thence west 150 feet~ thence north 150 feet to High Street, West; thence east along s~_id street 150 feet to the point of origin.
