RESOIJJT!0N AUTHORIZ!~G E~C~0TION OF COIkWfRACT FOR <br />GP~&N~T TO ACQUIRE LAk~ FOR OPEN SPACE PURPOSES <br /> <br /> WHE WREAS~ the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (the "Applicant"), <br />has heretofore subrr~tted an applicatio~ to the United States of America, <br />Depart~r~nt of Housing ~nd Urban Development [the '~Government'~), for a <br />graot under Title Vii of the Housing Act of 1961~ as amended, with re- <br />spe_ot to a certain project identified ~ Project No. VA. OSA-71, for <br />the purposes designated ~ the said application~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Government has approved the said application <br />subo~ect to certain conditions smd has submitted to the Applicsa~ a <br />certain Contract for Grant identified as Contract No. VA. OSA-71(G) <br />(the "Contract"), for approval and execution by the Applicant, v~ich <br />said Contract is satisfactory. <br /> <br /> NOW, ~HKREFORE, BE IT RF~0LVED BY THE Cotmcil of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Vi~ginia~ that the ssfd Contracb, a copy of which is attach- <br />ed hereto, be and the same is hereby approved. The City ~,~nager is <br />hereby authorized ~ directed to execute the said Contract in the name <br />and on behs~lf of the Applicant, in as many counterparts as ~y be neces- <br />sary, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to affix or <br />impress the official seal of the Applicant thereon and to attest the <br />same.
