A RESOLUTION GR~ffING A USE PEP~MIT FOR T~HE OPERATION <br />OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION AT THE NORI~HF~ST <br />CORNER OF EFFINGHkM A~[D LONDON STPEETS, UP-69-21. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Humble Oil and Refining Co.m~a~ has made an appli- <br />cation pursusnt to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of <br />Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter des- <br />cribed; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, the applicant, the Planning D~rector and the City <br />~maager have done all things required to be done in cormection with <br />said application, and the Plmnning Commission has recomended the <br />granting of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter <br />stated. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEP~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia; <br /> <br /> A. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter <br /> described is sought (1) will not adversely affect <br /> the health or safety of persons residing or work- <br /> ing in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) <br /> will not be detrir~ntal to the public welfare or <br /> injurious to property or ~_mprove~nts in the <br /> neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the <br /> purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br /> B. That Humble Oil and Refiming Company is hereby <br /> granted a use permit, subject to site plan restric- <br /> tions, pursuant to Section 4-2 of said ZoDing Ordi- <br /> nance, for the operation of an automotive service <br /> station locased on the property described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the northeast corner of Effinghsm and <br />London Streets; thence north along Effinghsm Street <br />161 feet; thence east 180 Eeet; thence south.~161 <br />feet to London Street; thence west along said street <br />180 feet to the point of origin. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Comncil of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
