A RESOLUTION~GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE% OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE STATION AT THE SOUTHEAST INTERSECTION OF TURNPIKE ROAD AND PORTSMOUTH BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, UnionOil'Company of California, has made ap- plication pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of ~ the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS~ the applicant and ~he Planning. D%rector. have done all things required to be done in connection with saidap- plication, and the Planning Commission has considered the~grant- ing of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. NOW; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the~ Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: A. That the use for which theuse permit hereinafter described is sought (1) witl not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with t~e purposes of said Zoning B. That Union Oil Company of California, is hereby granted a use permit subject to site plan restrictions, pur- suant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance for the operation of an Automotive Service Station located on the property des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of Turnpike Road and Portsmouth Boulevard; thence southeast along the north side of Portsmouth Boulevard approximately 216 feet to a side property line; thence northerly approximately 145 feet to the south right of way line of Turnpike Road; thence westerly along Turnpike Road approximately 200 feet to the point of beginning.
