A RESOLUTION GRA~NTING A USE PER~4IT FOR THE RECO~STRUCTION AND OPEP~TiON OF A TRaNSFORMeR SUBSTATION LOCATED ATINTERSECTION OF KING STREET ~ND LOUISA AVENUE. UPT!-tO. ~SqEREAS, Virginia Electric and Power Company has made application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and W~REAS, theapp!icant and the ~anning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said ap- .ptication, and the Planning Com~mission has considered the grant- ing of said use permit, subject to the conditions hereinafter stated. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT P~SOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: A. That t. he use for wlnich the use permit hereinafter described is sought (i) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare ~r in~3~_r, io~ t.o pzop~er~y or i~provements .in the neiqhborhood, and (3) will ~e in accord with the purposes of said-Zoning Ordinance. B. That Virginia Electric and Power Company is hereby granted a use permit subject to site plan restrictions, pursuanu to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance for the operation of a transformer substation located on the property described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of King Street and Louisa Avenue; ~hence south, alonq the east side of Louisa Avenue approximately i30 feet to a point; thence east approximately 180 feet to a point; thence north approximately 130 feet to the west right-of-way line of King Street; thence west along King Street approximately 180 feet to the point of origin.
