A RESOLUTIOIq GRANTING A USE PEP~iIT FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A CONVALESCENT AND NURSING HOFzE ON COUNTY STREET. UP71-9. ~EREAS, Larry L. Goldman, has made application pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth~ 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and ~EP~AS, the applicant and the Planning Director have done all ~hings required to be don-e in-coca,ct-ion with said application, and the Planning Commission.has considered ~he granting of said use permit, sLLbject to the conditions here- inafter stated. NOW, THEP_EFORE, BE IT RESOL\~D by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: A. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (i) will not adversely affect ~he heat~h or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the neigh- -be~e~ ~and {3) will ~in .a2co~d with the purposes of said Zoning Ordinance. B. That Larry L. Goldman is her~-by granted a use pe_~it, subject to site plan restrictions and state regulations pursuant to Section 4-2 of said Zoning Ordinance fcr the re- construction and operation of a convalescent and nursing home located on ~he property described as follows: Beginning approximately 120 feet west of the northwest corner of County Street and Halifax Aven'~e; ~hence west along County Street approxi- mate!y 123 feet to a side lot line; thence north approximately !O8 feet to a rear property line; thence east along said line approximately 123 feet to a side property line; thence south along said line approximately 10S feet to County Street, the point of origin.
