RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SOUTHEASTERN VIRGINIA PLANNING DIS- <br />TRICT CO~{MISSION TO ACT AS THE COORDINATING AGENT OF THE <br />TENPIN SYSTEM PARTICIPANTS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Southeastern Virginia Planning District <br />Commission as a legally established Planning District in the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia whose me~er jurisdictions Chesapeake, <br />Franklin, Isle of Wight County, Nansemond County, Norfolk, <br />Portsmouth, Southamptom County, Suffolk and Virginia Beach <br />have authorized it to act as their coordinating agent in mat- <br />ters related to areawide concerns such as Criminal Justice <br />Planning; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the jurisdictions of Chesapeake, Norfolk, <br />Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach currently participate an an in- <br />formal Tidewater Electronic Network Police Information System <br />which is to become a part of the Virginia Criminal Information <br />Network on or ~about November 15, 1971; and, <br /> <br /> ?~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth, realizing <br />vantage of the service rendered~ wishes to support a <br />TENPIN System; and, <br /> <br />the ad- <br />formalized <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, endorsement of such support provides for the <br />appointment of a representative to a TENPIN Operational Advisory <br />Board which will make recommendations to the participating juris- <br />dictions through the Commissaon; now therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />· that theSoutheastern Virginia Planning District Commission is <br />hereby authorized to act as the coordinating agent of the TENPIN <br />System participants to assist in the development and financing <br />of a formal system and establishment of the aforementioned TEN- <br />PIN Operational Advisory Board~ <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held October 12~ 1971. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
