A RESOLUTION GRANTING A USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A SEWAGE PUMPING STATION ON SHORELINE DRIVE NEAR REGENT DRIVE. WHEREAS~ Churchland Land Corporation has made applica- tion through Director of Public Utilities P. J. Brady, pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning ordinance of the City of Portsmouth~ 1961, for the granting of a use permit as hereinafter described; and WHEREASt the applicant and the Planning Director have done all things required to be done in connection with said ap- plication, and the Planning Commission has recommended that said use permit be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: A. That the use for which the use permit hereinafter described is sought (i) will not adversely affect the health or safety of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of the proposed use, (2) will not be detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improv~ents an the neighborhood, and (3) will be in accord with the purposes of said Zoning ordi- nance. B. That Churchland Land Corporation is hereby granted a use permit pursuant to Section 4-2 of the Zoning Ordinance for the operation of a sewage pumping station located on the property described as follows: Beginning on the west side of Shoreline Drive, opposite its intersection with Regent Drive; thence west approximately 1S0 feet to a rear property line~ thence south along said line ap- proximately 100 feet to a side property line; thence east along said line approximately 150 feet to the west right of way line of Shoreline Drive; thence north along said right of way ap- proximately 100 feet to the point of origin Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- ginia, at a meeting held October 8, 1973.
