86 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIE~,,q~RS FOR CLOSING A PORTION OF MADISO~ STREET LOCATED BETWEEN FOURTH STREET AND THIRD STREET (S-73-13). ~tEREAS, the First National Bank of Norfolk and Willis D. Jenkins have made application to vacate and close the herein- after described portion of a certain street and it appearing that notice of the application and request for the appointment of viewers was duly posted on September 6, 1973 on the several bulletin boards of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth and on the bul!e~in board of the General District Court of the City of Portsmouth. NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Raymond ·weed, James V. McGehee, R. i.rvine Smith, and James L. Choate, be appointed viewers to view the hereinafter described portion of such street and report to this Council in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from vacating and closing the following: Beginning at an iron pin at the southeast intersection of Fourth and Madison Streets; thence in an easterly direction, along the southern right of way of Madison Street 90 feet to an iron pin; thence along said right of way 270.00 feet more or less to the south- west intersection of Madison Street and Third Street (now property of United States Govern- ment); thence in a northerly direction along the western right of way of Third Street (now property of United States Government) 60.00 feet more or less to the northern right of way of Madison Street; thence ~n a westerly direction along the northern riqht of way of Madison Street 360.00 feet more or less to the northeastern intersection of Madison Street and Fourth Street; thence in a southerly di- rection along the eastern right of way of Fourth Street 60.00 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
