A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CO~qEY CERTAIN <br />CITY-OWTNED PROPERTY TO ALLAN L. SEGAL (WATER STREET PROPERTY) <br /> <br /> h%iEREAS~ the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, has accepted the bid of Allan L. Segal to purchase <br />certain property hereinafter described; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS~ Allan L. Segal has submitted architectural <br />plans for the construction of a restaurant facility on this <br />property as required by the public advertisement for bids; and <br /> <br /> ~{EREAS, the plans submitte8 have been fully reviewed <br />by this council and found to be suitable and appropriate for <br />development of this land. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFOREt BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the architectural plans sub- <br />mitted by Allan L~ Segal are approved and the City Manager is <br />hereby directed to convey the said property to Allan Lo Segal <br />and to execute all documents and perform all acts necessary to <br />accomplish such conveyance. <br /> <br /> All that certain lot, piece or parcel of <br /> land, situate in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia; comprising 1.366 acres, more or less, <br /> bounded on the east by the Southern Branch of <br /> the Elizabeth River and more particularly bound- <br /> ed and described as follows: BEGINNING at a <br /> point on the intersection formed by the eastern <br /> right of way line of Water Street and the north- <br /> ern right of way line of London Street; thence <br /> running North 3~32'34" West along the eastern <br /> right of way line of Water Street 169.72 feet <br /> to a point; thence running North 86~56'36': East <br /> 364.75 fee% to a point on the pierhead line of <br /> the United States Goverr~.ent; thence running <br /> South 5"42'Ot'~ West along said pierhead line <br /> 171~39 feet to a point where said pierhead line <br /> intersects the northern right of way line of <br /> London Street extended; thence running South <br /> 86~53'15" West 337.22 feet along said northern <br /> right of way line of London Street extended to <br /> the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginie~ at a meeting held August 14, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
