76 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Revenue of the City of <br />Portsmouth has certified to this Council that FinanceAmerica <br />has been erroneously assessed in the amount of Nine Thousand <br />Six Hundred Fifty-six and 75/100 ($9,656.75) Dollars because <br />of incorrect information furnished by Financ~America to the <br />Commissioner of Revenue; and <br /> WHER~S, %ke city Attorney has consented that such <br />assessment was erroneous~ <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of <br /> the City of Portsmouth that the City Treasurer is dlrecte to <br /> refund Nine Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-six and 75/100 ($9,656.75) <br /> Dollars without interest to FinanceAmerica for an erroneous <br /> assessment caused by FinanceAmerica's lncorre~ reporting of <br /> revenues. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, at a meeting held on August 12, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
