A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING AN ALLEY BETWEEN <br />MAY AND JUNE STREETS. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Richard Spendolini, Steve Godwin and Jerry <br />silvers have made application to vacate and close the herein- <br />after described portion of a certain alley, and it appearing <br />that the notice of the application and request for appointment <br />of viewers was duly posted June 10, 1975 on the bulletin board <br />of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, on the bulle- <br />tin board of the General District Court (Civil Division), of <br />the City of Portsmouth~ and on the bulletin board of the Muni- <br />cipal Building~ Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, Wo To <br />Goode, Jr., John H. Griffin, Clarence Robinson and James L. <br />Choate be appointed view,rs to view the hereinafter described <br />portion of such alley and to report to this Council in writing <br />whether in their opinion~ any~ and if any, what inconvenience <br />would result in vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of land <br />situate~ lying and being in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, as shown in ~he plat of the <br />subdivision known as Hiqh~nd B!!tmore. madc <br />by S. W. Armistead, C.E., dated March~ %948, <br />duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, Vir- <br />ginia, in Map Book 31~ pages 65 and 66; said <br />strip of land is 20e wide extending in an east- <br />west direction, bounded on the east by June <br />Street and on the West by May Street and lies <br />to the rear of Lots 9. through 13 and 53 through <br />57, both inclusive, of the aforementioned plat <br />and extending a distance of 555-feet~ more or <br />less, and further described as: Beginning at <br />the southwest intersection of June Street and <br />Summers Place; thence North i°05' Bast 100 feet <br />to the Point of Beginning; thence North 88°55t <br />East 555 feet to the east right of way line of <br />May Street; thence North 1~05' East 20 feet to <br />a point; thence South 88"55~ Bast 555 feet to <br />the west right of way line of June Street; <br />thence South 1"05' West 20 feet to the Point <br />of Beginning. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Ceuncil of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held July 8, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
