125 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ~NAGER TO ADVERTISE AND <br />RECEI¥~ BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY [DES MOINES <br />AVENUE FIRESTATION). <br /> <br />parcel of <br />ticularly <br /> <br />~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns a <br />property located on Des Moines Avenue~ more par- <br />described as follows: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of <br />land, with the buildings and improvements <br />thereon, situate, lying and.being in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, more particular- <br />ly described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the eastern <br />right-of-way of Des Moines Avenue, said <br />point being 59.2 feet north of the north- <br />eastern intersection of Des Moines Avenue <br />and Lincoln Street; thence continuing <br />north along the eastern right-of-way of <br />Des Moines Avenue 75.00 feet to a point; <br />thence easterly and parallel with Lincoln <br />Street 100 feet to a point; thence southerly <br />and parallel with Des Moines Avenue 75 feet <br />to a point; thence westerly and parallel <br />with Lincoln Street 100 feet to the point <br />of beginning. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the <br />City of Portsmouth and <br />property. <br /> <br />said land is no longer needed by the <br />it is, therefore~ declared to be surplus <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT resclved by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for the <br />hereinabove described property on such terms and subject %o <br />such minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on Tuesday, December 9, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
