123 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIG~ATING CERTAIN CITY OWNEDPROPERTY AS <br />CHURCHLAND PARK. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, certain property owned b~ the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, adjacent to the Churchland Junior <br />High School has been set aside for develop~ent as a park <br />and recreation ar~a for the citizens of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />after review of many names suggested for this facility, <br />has recommended that the area by designated Churchland <br />Park. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City owned <br />property set aside for creation of a park and recreation <br />facility adjacent to the Churchland Junior High School <br />be, and it hereby is, designated and named "CHURCHLAND <br />PARK." <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held on December 9, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
