A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING JUDGE HENRY W. ~CKENZIE, <br />JR. ON HIS RETIR~4ENT AFTER NINETEEN YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />AS A JUDGE OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> WHER~AS~ Judge Henry W. MacKenzie~ Jr., has been a native <br />and lifelong resident of Portsmouth~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, he has had 5n esteemed forty-three year career <br />as an attorney; and <br /> <br /> 'WHEREAS, the last ninteen years he has honorably served <br />the City of Portsmouth as Judge of ~he Circuit Court~ and <br /> <br />WX4EREAS~ on February i~ 1975, has retired as active Judge~ <br /> <br /> NOW~ THERE~ORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmeuth~ Virginia~ that this Council recognzze and <br />honor Judge Henry W~ MacKenzie~ Jr~ for his esteem career as <br />an attorney and as Judge of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth and wish him many years of good health and happiness <br />mn his retir~ment~ <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council does hereby <br />express the esteem and admiration which all citizens of Ports- <br />mouth hold for Judge MacKenzie. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be~ and he <br />hereby is, directed no cause this resolution to be spread upon <br />the minu~es of this Council and a duly attested copy~ suitably <br />framed~ be presented to Judge Henry W~ MacKenzie~ Jr~ <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of this City of Portsmouth~ <br />Virginia~ at m meeting held February 1i~ 1975. <br /> <br />Teste~ <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
