~o0 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL BOARD TO MAKE GRANT APPLI- <br />CATIONS AND EXPEND STATE AND FEDERAL FUNDS NOT PRESENTLY BUDGETED <br />!N THE 1~7S-76 SCHOOL BUDGET; DIRECTING THE SCHOOL BOARD TO <br />REPORT RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF SUCH FUNDS TO THE CITY MANAGER. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, education funds from a variety of govern- <br />mental agencies became available during the fiscal year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in many occasions, priority of funding is <br />based upon timely application. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth that the School Board of the City of Ports- <br />mouth is authorized to make grant applications and expend <br />state and federal funds not presently budgeted in the 197S-76 <br />school budget. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of <br />Schools is directed to advise the City Manager of the total <br />sum received and expended. <br /> <br /> This resolution shall take effect from the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held September 9, 1975. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
