A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIE~RS FOR CLOSING THE FOLLOWING <br />STREET: A PORTION OF LONDON BOULEVARD EXTENDING APPROXI- <br />~iATELY 335' EAST TO THE SOUTHERN BP~qCH OF THE ELIZABETH <br />RIVER FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH WATER STREET AND ~HAVING <br />A RIGHT OF WAY WIDTH OF APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application <br />to vacate and close the hereinafter described portion of a <br />certain street, and it appearing that the Notice of the Appli- <br />cation and request for appointment of viewers was duly posted <br />May 27, 1976, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court of <br />the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of the City Council <br />Chambers of the City of Portsmouth and the bulletin board of~ <br />the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Linon Vann, C. E. Ellis, <br />Leonard L. Sullivan, Raymond Tweed, and Frank N. Bilisoly be <br />appointed as viewers to view the hereinafter described portion <br />of such street and to report to this Council in writing whether <br />in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- <br />sult in vacating.and closing the following: . <br /> <br /> Ail that certain parcel of land, !yin <br /> and being in the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br /> ginia, and comprising that portion of Lon- <br /> don Boulevard extending approximately 3~5' <br /> east to the southern branch of the Eliza- <br /> beth River from its intersection with Water ~ <br /> Street and having a right of way width of <br /> approximately 60 feet. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held June 8, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
