A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RELEASE AND <br />VACATE A CERTAIN 10 FOOT DRAINAGE EASEMENT ON PROPERTY <br />ON ROLEN DRIVE AND VERNE AVENUE, PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by recordation of that certain subdivision <br />plat*entitled "Green Acres Section 8B", made by S. W. Armistead, <br />C. E., dated December 12, 1949, recorded in the Clerk's office <br />of the Circuit Court of Chesapeake (formerly Norfolk County) <br />Virginia, mn Map Book 32, page 72, a 10 foot drainage ease- <br />ment was dedicated on lots 196, 197, 198, 203, 204 and 205 <br />of said subdivision, a copy of which is attached hereto; and <br /> ~4EREAS, said 10 foot drainage easement is no <br />longer used or maintained by the City of Portsmouth and <br />serves only the use of the private property owners of said <br />property. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br /> the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Cit~ Manager be, <br /> and he hereby is, authorized to execute such deeds and <br /> documents of vacation and release as may be necessary to <br /> vacate and release the interest of the City in said 10 foot <br /> drainage easement on property on Rolen Drive and Verne <br /> Avenue, Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br /> Virginia, at a meeting held October 12, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
