A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RELEASE ~D <br />ABANDON CERTAIN TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS ALONG <br />THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CRAWFORD CONNECTOR FROM COURT STREET <br />EAST TO COLUMBIA STREET AiqD ON THE EAST SIDE OF CRAWFORD <br />CONNECTOR FROM SOUTH STREET NORTH TO COL~4BIA STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the development of the Crawford <br />Connector, certain temporary construction easements were <br />obtained by the City of Portsmouth and the Department of <br />Highways and Transportation of the Commonwealth of Vir- <br />ginia on the property abutting the Crawford Connector~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Highways and Trans- <br />portation of the Commonwealth of Virginia has advised that <br />said easements are no longer required for construction or <br />maintenance of said streets-and highways; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority has requested that said temporary construction <br />easements be released for the purpose of development of <br />the underlying properties. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager <br />be, and he hereby is, authorized to release and abandon <br />certain temporary construction easements along the north <br />side of the Crawford Connector from Court Street east to <br />Columbia Street and on the east side of Crawford Connector <br />from South Street north to columbia Street. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and <br />the City Clerk is authorized to execute such documents as <br />may be necessary to complete this release. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held October 12~ 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
