68 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR <br />FUNDING FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR <br />RENOVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE CITY JAIL. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that T~o ~undred Sixt~- <br />four Thousand, Nine Hundred Nine ($264,909.) Dollars will be <br />made available from the Division of Justice and Crime Prevention <br />for renovation and enlargement of the City Jail; and <br /> WHEREAS, an additional Fifty Thousand ($50,000.) Dollars <br />is required to complete %he financing of said renovation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Corrections maintains <br /> funds for Such renovation and construction on a fifty percent <br /> (.50%) rei~mbursement basis for local expenditures to a maximum <br /> of Fifty-~housand ($50,O00..)
