6O <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY TO LOVING <br />& GAY FUNERAL HOME CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ADJACENT TO <br />CHURCHLAND ACADEMY. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth on July 25, 1978, the City Manager was authorized <br />to advertise and receive bids for the hereinafter described pro- <br />perty on such terms and subject to such minimum bid restrictions <br />as he 'deemed proper; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the highest bid received for such property was <br />from Loving & Gay Funeral Home in the amount of $21,055.00 for <br />use of the property in expansion of existing Funeral Home faci- <br />lities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth hereby <br />deems that conveyance of %he property for the price and purpose <br />stated in'the bid of Loving & Gay Funeral Home is acceptable. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he here- <br />by is, authorized to convey the following described property to <br />Loving & Gay-Funeral Home: <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots, pieces os parcels of <br />land, situate, lying and being in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, known, numbered and desig- <br />nated as Lots 25. 26 and 27, Block 21, on the <br />plat of Churchland Land Company, recorded in <br />the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br />City of Chesapeake, Virginia. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is,-authorized to complete all transactions and execute <br />all documents incident to such conveyances. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a ,meeting held September 12, 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
