A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE AND <br />RECEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY (PART OF LOT <br />319 AND 320, PLAT OF NORTH TRUXTON). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns a <br />certain parcel of property located at Prederick Boulevard <br />and Bagley Street, more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br /> All that certain lot, piece or parcel of <br /> land with the appurtenances thereunto belong- <br /> ing, situate, lying and being in the City of <br /> Portsmouth, Virginia, being a portion of Lots <br /> 319 and 320, as shown on the Plat of ~orth <br /> Truxton, which plat is duly recorded in the <br /> Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court of the <br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, in Map Book 2, <br /> pages 37 through 40, inclusive, and being a <br /> portion of the aforesaid lots lying outside <br /> of the right of way of Frederick Boulevard. <br /> The aforedescribed property being the resi- <br /> due of property acquired by the City of Ports- <br /> mouth for the Frederick Boulevard Street im- <br /> provements from Ward Green, unmarried, and <br /> John Robert Shaw, et ux, each deed bearing date <br /> of July 15, 1954, recorded in the aforesaid <br /> Clerk's Office in Deed Book 272, page.272 and <br /> 123, respectively. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said land is no longer needed by the City of <br /> Portsmouth and it is, therefore, declared to be surplus pro- <br /> perty. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and <br /> he hereby is~ authorized to advertise and receive bids for <br /> the hereinabove described property on such terms and such <br /> minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia~ at a meeting held August 22, 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
