48 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY A 15' EASE~IENT FOR WATER LINES TO THE CITY OF NORFOLK. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth's Pinners Point Sewage Treatment Plant is being expanded and upgraded; and ' WHEREAS, said expansion makes it necessary to re- locate a 30" water main owned by the City of ~orfolk pre- sently located on property to be occupied by the sewage treatment plant;, and ~ ~ - ~ ~_ . W/4EREAS, the City of Norfolk has agreed to the re- location of this water main on the property hereinafter- described, said relocation to be accomplished by the City of Portsmouth; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.09(c) of the Charter of the City of Portsmouth, the City may sell or convey property to a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia without advertisement and without receiving bids. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to convey to the City of Norfolk a water line easement 15' in width beginning at Station 00.00 plus O0 and continuing between parallel lines 15' apart to Station 12 plus 0.2.24 as shown on Sheet No. 2 of the plans entitled, "Plans For The Construction Of Pinners Point Sewage Trea~ent Plant Improvements, Relocation Of City Of Norfolk's Raw Water Main~', prepared by. Greeley and Hanson,.Engineers, Chicago, Illinois, Richmond, Virginia, dated ~une, 1978, on file in the office of the Director of Public Utilities, City of Portsmouth~ Virginia. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute such documents and agreements.as may be necessary in accordance with this resolution'.
