A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE AND <br />RECEIVE BIDS FOR CERTAIN CITY-OWNED PROPERTY ADJkCENT TO <br />CHURCHLAND ACADEMY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, the City of Portsmouth presently owns certain <br />parcels of property located adjacent to the Churchtand Academy <br />Elementary School, which parcels were conveyed to the ~City of <br />Portsmouth pursuant to the terms of the 1968 annexation of <br />property of the City of Chesapeake, Virginia (Norfolk County); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said land is no longer needed by the City of <br />Portsmouth or the Portsmouth School Board and it is, there- <br />rorer declared to be surplus property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Co~ncll of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and <br />he hereby is, authorized to advertise and receive bids for <br />the hereinafter described property on such terms and subject <br />to such minimum bid restrictions as he may deem proper. <br /> <br /> The property to be advertised is more particularly <br />described as follows: <br /> <br /> Ail those certain lots~ pieces or <br />parcels of land, situate, lying and being <br />in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, known, <br />numbered and designated as lots 25, 26 and <br />27, Block 21 on the plat of Churchland Land <br />Company, recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Chesapeake, <br />Virginia. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held July 25, 1978. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
