A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH SEABOARD COAST LINE <br />RkILROAD COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SIDETRACK TO SERVE <br />THE SOUTHSIDE II REDEVELOPMENT AREA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Southside II Project is being developed as <br />a light industrial area in the City of Portsmouth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company has agreed <br />to construct a sidetrack from its main line to serve the <br />parcels of property in the Southside II Redevelopment Area <br />which are to be marked as industrial properties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost of said sidetrack will be $35~016.00. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the proposed agreement <br />with Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company to construct this <br />sidetrack to serve industrial properties in the Southside <br />II Redevelopent Area be, and the same hereby is, approved. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to execute such contract agreement and <br />documents as may pertain thereto. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held June 13, 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
