A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE %IICTORY BOULEVARD EXTENSI(kN PROJECT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was conducted on April 26, 1978 in the <br />City of Portsmouth by representatives of the Cc~nonwealth of Virginia, <br />Depsrtmant of Highways and Transportation after due and proper notice <br />for the purpose of considering the proposed location and design of the <br />Victory Boulevard Extension Project in the City of Porbsmouth at which <br />hearing aerial photographs, drawings and other pertinent information <br />were made available for public inspection in accordance with State and <br />Federal rec~rem~2ats; and <br /> ~TI~EAS, all persons and parties in attendance~ were afforSed full <br /> opporhunity to participate in said Public Heering; and <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of the City of PortSmOUth were present <br /> end participated in said he,ring; and <br /> ~X~EREAS, the Co~il had previously requested the Virginia Department <br /> of ~lighways and Transportation to program this project; and <br /> WHERKAS, the Council considered all such matters. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of .the City of <br /> Portsmouth hereby approve the location and major design features of the <br /> proposed project as presented at the Public Hearing. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Port~uth requests the <br /> Virginia Depsrtment of Highways and Transportation to acquire all <br /> ~ights of way necessary for this project conveying this right of way <br /> to the City of Portsmouth at the appropriate time. <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Porhs~out~h, Virginia, at a <br /> meeting held May 30~ 1978. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />~CityClerk <br /> <br /> <br />
