A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR CLOSING T}~ FOLLOWING STREET: A PORTION OF RAINTREE LANE BETWEEN RIVERSHORE ROAD AND SOUTPiA~PTON ARCH° WI4EREAS, R. Stuart Ball and others have made application %o vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described portion of a certain street, and it appearing that Notice of Application and request for the Appointment of Viewers was duly posted April 7, 1978 on the bulletin board of the City t{atl Building of the City of Portsmouth, the bulletin board of the General District Court, Civil Division, of the City of Portsmouth and the bulle- tin board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth° NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that Frank N. Bilisoly, A. ~. Kendrick, Colonel Henry P. Crowe, John H. Griffin, and H. L. Davis be ap- pointed viewers and Zalmon I. Blacb~an be_ appointed an alternate viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers fails to parti- cipate~ said viewers to view'the here~na~te~ described portion of such street and to report to the Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would re- sult in vacating and closing the following: RAINTREE LANE at a BEGINNING at th~ northeast corner of t~e inter- section of Raintree Lane and Southampton Arch; thence north along the east right of way line of Raintree Lane a distance of 330 feet to the south right of way line of Rivershore Road; thence west 50 feet to the west right of way line of Raintree Lane; thence south along said right of way a dis- tance of 330 feet to the north right of way line of Southampton Arch; thence east 50 feet to the east right of way line of Raintree Lane, to the point of origin.
