21 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY CERTAIN CITY-f~tED <br />PROPER~f, 915 QUn~N STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the Council of ~he City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, on February 28, 1978, the City Manager did <br />advertise and receive bids for the sale of certain City-owned pro- <br />perry known as 915 Queen Street; and <br /> <br /> ~54EREAS, %b~ offer of William R. Davis to exchange property <br />located at 329 Fayette Street for the hereinafter describe~ City- <br />owned property was received and is hereby accepted. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of ~he City of <br />Portsaouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, <br />authorized to convey %o William R. Davis the hereinafter described <br />property known as 915 Queen Street, Port~nouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, <br />with the ~rovements thereon, situate on the south <br />side of Que~n Street, Portsmouth, Virginia, bounded <br />and described as follows: <br /> <br /> BegJ3kn/ng at a point distant 188' west from <br />the southwest intersection of Queen Street and <br />Chestnut S~reet; thence running south and parallel <br />with Chestnut Street 100' to Wall Street; thence <br />west along the north side of Wall Street 50'; <br />thence north and parallel with Chestnut Street 100' <br />to Queen Street; thence east along Queen Street <br />50' to the Point of Beginning. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby <br />is, authorized to execute all docu~nents in eermection with the con- <br />veyance of said property. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Port~r~uth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held March 28, i978. <br /> <br /> Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
