37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIE~RS FOR CLOSING OF A PORTION OF <br />FAIRFAX AVENUE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, E. L. Copeland, Gladys D. Copeland and Mary A. <br />Stephenson have made application to vacate, close and dis- <br />continue the hereinafter-described portion of Fairfax Avenue, <br />and it appearing that notice of application in request for <br />the appointment of viewers was duly posted on the 27th day <br />of March, 1980, on the bulletin board of the Circuit Court <br />of the City of Portsmouth, the Pertsmouth City Hall Building <br />and the General District Court, civil Division. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Louis J. Leitner, C. H. Harrison, <br />James H. Griffin and James L. Lenahan be appointed viewers and <br />that Frank N. Bilosoly be appointed an alternate viewer in <br />the event that one of the preceeding viewers fails to participate, <br />said viewers to view the hereinafter-described portion of Fairfax <br />Avenue and to report to this Council in writing whether in their <br />opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result in <br />vacating and closing the following: <br /> <br />FAIRFAX AVENUE <br /> <br /> That certain portion of Fairfax Avenue <br />(20 ft. in width) shown on the plat of Fair- <br />fax, duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, in Map Book 1, P. 34f which lies <br />between the western line of Parker Avenue <br />projected southward across Fairfax Avenue <br />and the western line of Walnut Street pro- <br />jected northward across Fairfax Avenue. <br />(S-80-3) <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of %he City of Portsmouth, <br />at a meeting held May 13, 1980. <br /> <br />Virginia, <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
