76 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF LOUISA AVENUE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has made application to <br />vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter-described <br />portion of Louisa Avenue and it appearing that notice of <br />application and request for the appointment of viewers was <br />duly posted on the 12th day of Septeraberr 1980, on the bulletin <br />board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, the <br />General District Court (Civil Division) of the City of Ports- <br />mouth and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court <br />of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by hhe Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, L. A. Clarke, <br />James L. Choate, Simon P. Arrington and Richard D. Ottavio <br />be appointed viewers and that C. E. Ellis be appointed an <br />alternate viewer in the event one of the predeeding viewers <br />fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter- <br />described portion of Louisa Avenue and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />'following: <br /> <br />LOUISA AVENUE <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion o'f Louisa <br />Avenue bounded and described as follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the southeast corner <br />of the intersection of Louisa Street and <br />Winchester Drive; thence south O° 40' <br />west, a distance of 134.13' to a point on <br />the northwest right-of-way of Airline <br />Boulevard; thence north 86° 20' O0" west, <br />a distance of 60'; thence north 03° 40' <br />OO" east, a distance of 134.13' to a point <br />on the southern right-of-way line of Win- <br />chester Drive; thence along the southern <br />right-of-way of Winchester Drive south <br />86° 20' OO" east, a distance of 60' to the <br />point of beginning as shown on the attached <br />plat entitled: "Property Of The City Of <br />Portsmouth For Winchester Drive Fire Station", <br />dated February 13, 1980. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />at a meeting held September 23, 1980. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
