71 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1979 THREE-YEAR <br />HOUSING ASSISTANCE PLAN. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the Council of <br />the City of Portsmouth on August 12, 1980, the Portsmouth <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authorit~ has prepared, as part <br />of the 1981 Housing and Community Development Program, and <br />submitted to the Council for its approval an amended Three- <br />Year Housing Assistance Plan that deletes Census Tract 128 <br />and adds Census Tracts 125 and 103 as acceptable locations <br />for the construction of new multi-family housing assisted <br />under the Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed amendment has <br />been held and the public has been duly informed of the City's <br />intent to have I00 new multi-family units developed in Census <br />Tract 125 on a specific site.~ <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by-the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Uirginla, that the a~ended Three-Year <br />Housing Assistance Plan be approved thereby deleting Census <br />Tract 128, and adding Census Tracts 125 and 103 as the only <br />acceptable tracts for the construction of new multi-f~mily <br />housing assisted under the Section 8 Housing Assistance <br />Payments Program; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City ~4aDager of the <br />City of Portsmouth and the Executive Director of the Ports- <br />mouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority are authorized <br />to take all necessary actions and to prepare and execute <br />all documents required to adopt the amended Housing Assistance <br />Plan and, submit the same to the Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development and to obtain the release of the City's <br />1980 Conuuunity Development entitlement funds. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held August 26, 1980. <br /> <br />TeSte: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
