63 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING VIEWERS FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION <br />OF HAl{ELL STREET. <br /> <br /> T;~EREAS, Frederick J. Petzinger, III, has made appli- <br />cation to vacate, close and discontinue ~//e hereinafter- <br />described portion of Harrell Street, and it appearing that <br />Notice of ~pplication and Request for the Appointment of <br />Viewers was duly posted on July 25, 1980, on the bulletin <br />board of the Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth the <br />City Hall Building and the General Distric~ Court (Civil <br />Division) of the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that A. N. Kendrick, Charles <br />R. Hudgins, Robert Reid, Harrison Miller and R. Irvine Smith <br />be appointed viewers and J. R. Wilkerson be appointed an <br />alternate viewer in the event one of the preceding viewers <br />fails to participate, said viewers to view the hereinafter- <br />described portion of such streets and to report to this <br />Council in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, <br />what inconvenience would result in vacating and closing the <br />following street: <br /> <br />~IARRELL STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of ~arrell <br />Street beginning at the southwest inter- <br />section of Harrell Street and Elm Avenue; <br />thence west along the south right-of-way <br />of HarreI1 Street 190 feet, more or less; <br />thence northly 50 feet to the northern <br />right-of-way of Harrell Street; thence <br />east along the said right-of-way of Harrell <br />Street 196 feet, more or less, to the west <br />right-of-way of Elm Avenue; thence south <br />50 feet to the south right-of-way of Harrell <br />Street, the Point of Beginning.
